Reality as a Tale of Cooperating Agencies
Reality (that which happens) is a tale of cooperating agencies. Agencies cooperating, functionalizing each other, in the process recognizing each other's existence. Recognizing each other's existence, that's cooperation. The agency of every artifact lies in the dormant potentialities it affords, in the stories that can be written with it, plotlines that demand recognition/realization and that patiently wait for a cooperating partner to be enacted, to be functionalized.
When we unleash new form into the wild, it takes life of its own. Much remains to be learned about the nature of form, but recognizing that artifacts have agency — that they incentivize and direct behavior — is something we are already late at understanding.
