This space is presented out of a desire to start a conversation on the ways we create, consume, and deliver experiences. I think this framing matters because experience is all we do.
It's not only the crazy and new VR experiences you hear about on the media, but the experiences that you have on a typical day — the ones delivered by your supermarket, the places you visit on the web, the tools you use at work, and the products and brands you know and love. Even the city or town you live in delivers a distinct experience through its built environment and its people. My belief is that, the more we understand what people want out of their experience, both in the concrete and in the abstract, the better of a job we can do in architecting and delivering experiences that they find joyful and fulfilling.
The worlds of business, technology, media, product, and design are central to this conversation, you can expect me to tap them extensively. From time to time, however, we'll take a look inside and reflect on the effects that new products and new media are having on our individual and collective behaviors.
It is not my attempt to tell a new story here but to shine further light on the story that is played over and over again, every day, by everyone everywhere. My hope and goal is that, as we go along, reality will click more and more — for you and for me.
